About Us

Prof. Timothy Bulus is a professor of Biochemistry at Kaduna State University, with academic and research experience of more than seventeen years. He has served as the head of the department of Biochemistry for two terms spanning four years during which the department had witnessed tremendous improvement in organization, course curriculum, quality of teaching and the establishment of several postgraduate programmes. He is currently the pioneer director of the Directorate of Laboratory Management and Maintenance of the university and had previously played key roles in pioneering the establishment of the first-ever well-equipped Kaduna State University Molecular Biology Laboratory. He has served the university in many capacities at senate and management cadres, as well as in many of its committees. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka. In addition, he has a Master of Science degree and a Doctor of Philosophy, both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, on the potential of developing vaccine constructs against malaria pathogen, research he partly carried out at the Center of Glycobiology, Universitate de Bremen, Germany.  He has lectured many biochemistry courses and supervised original research at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Biochemistry and Biotechnology with attendant scholarly scientific articles to his credit. He is a member of several scientific societies which he served in different leadership and committee responsibilities. 

Professor Timothy Bulus is a community development person and has provided a lot of community services across fields and communities. He was a visiting lecturer at the Department of Biological Science, Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna, where he helped in the establishment of  M.Sc. Biotechnology programme. He was a visiting research scientist at the Nigerian Institute for Trypanosomiasis, Kaduna, and had provided research training and mentoring opportunities to younger researchers in the institute. He has been equally involved in several other society training in the capacity development of younger scientists.   Because of his leadership roles and his passionate interest in peaceful co-existence, he has recently undergone the basic intensive, theoretical and practical training course in Dispute Resolution Skills and Proficiency with the Settlement House ADR Training Institute (SHATI) and attended a capacity building workshop for academic leaders at central State University, Ohio, USA. Prof. Timothy Bulus is practically involved in conflict management within the University and has participated in resolving several conflicts and disputes among staff and students such as theft cases, online platform-related disputes, examination irregularities and intra-union conflicts.

He is a principled, fair-minded and amiable teacher and leader. On the basis of his competence and trustworthiness, he was invited by Bowen University for a sabbatical leave during which helped to restructure and stabilize the Biochemistry Programme and has, on several occasions, been invited to examine undergraduate and postgraduate students of Ahmadu Bello University, University of Jos and Bingham University. He has written letters of recommendation and served as a guarantor to many youths. He is a Christian teacher, counsellor and leader.  He is a patron and advisor to student organizations and is happily married to Mrs Martha and their marriage is blessed with three children: Blessed (12), Joseph (10) and Grace (5).

He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Chairman of its Fellows Forum, a Fellow of the Institute of Construction Industry Arbitrators, a Registered Quantity Surveyor with QSRBN and a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

He was a Federal Government nominee to the QSRBN and was the Chairman of its Accreditation Committee, responsible for certifying all Quantity Surveying educational programmes in Nigerian Universities and Polytechnics.

He also served as the Federal Government-appointed consultant to oversee the implementation of the MDGs ‘Quickwins’ project on Health, Education and Water sectors in Anambra State.

He is a listed Neutral with the Abuja Multi-Door Court House of the Abuja High Court and is presently a sitting Arbitrator at the same court. He has served on several court-ordered Arbitral referrals and has also functioned as counsel in several Arbitrations.

He is a construction industry resource person having authored over 40 papers on various construction–related topics. Under Divine Inspiration, he propounded the concept of Mediative Conciliation as a dispute resolution model in the Construction Industry, which model has been adjudged by the Community Relations Service (CRS) of the U.S. Department of Justice, as the best model for resolving school-based hate crimes in the United States of America. This novel concept has now been Trademark- Patented as Anago Mediative Conciliation with certificate N0. 92036.

He has been a very active participant in Engineering and Construction practice spanning over 28 years as a respected Quantity Surveying and Total Cost Management Consultant. He was the Executive Director-Contract/Vice-Chairman with Paul-B Nigeria Plc; a notable building and civil engineering company. He is currently a member of the Infrastructure Policy Commission of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) and serves on its Roads and Rails sectoral working groups.

Prof. Andrew Aondona Akume was two times Head of Department, Commercial Law, former Assistant Dean of Law, Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna. He was one time Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (Zaria branch), former Assistant Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA Zaria branch), Christian Lawyers Association of Nigeria (CLASFON) and former member of Governing Council, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna.

He became a Professor of Law with effect from 1st Oct. 2011. So far, he has graduated up to Ten (10) Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students and several LL.M students. He has to his credit, forty Three (43) academic publications.

He is a vibrant and proactive legal practitioner and practices under the law firm of Wayo-Akume & Co, (Deliverance Chambers), UBA main building, PZ, Zaria, Kaduna. He is a Bar man to the core and presently serves as one of the Elders of Nigerian Bar Association, Zaria branch, Kaduna. He is married with four (4) children.

Nanchang Nangwang Esq DRS, MICRPC, PDE, ASCMA (UK)

He started his early education by enrolling in ABU Zaria, an accredited IJMB program at the Institute of Education, University of Jos center. He was thereafter admitted into the faculty of law, University of Jos, Jos Plateau State, where he graduated and obtained his first degree in law, LL.B (Hons) and he is currently pursuing a master of Laws in Public law, LL.M degree at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna. He was duly called to the Nigerian Bar in 2013.

Nanchang Nangwang is a Lawyer and the Principal Partner of the law firm, N. NANCHANG & CO. He is also the Executive Director of Settlement House ADR Training Institute (SHATI). He is a Certified Dispute Resolution Specialist, an Attorney-Mediator, Mediation Advocate, an Arbitrator, a Certified Negotiator, an ADR Practitioner and Advocate, a Restorative Justice Practitioner, a Certified Emotional Intelligence Specialist  He is a Certified Conflict Manager, a Certified ADR Registrar/Secretary, a holder of Mediator Academy, United Kingdom certificate in Commercial Mediation-Accredited by Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (UK), a Medical Law enthusiast and Employment and Labour law Expert.

He has keen interest in medical and negligence disputes, workplace disputes, commercial mediation, faith-based mediation and arbitration, land dispute, family disputes, among others. As a Dispute Resolution Specialist, he has handled several disputes which were amicably settled out of court. He also carries out all kinds of registration at Corporate Affairs Commission as an accredited agent.

Chairman, SHATI Governing Body

Rosecana Galadima Ankama is a lecturer with Kaduna polytechnic, department of legal studies. She is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where she obtained her first degree in law, LL.B (Hons) and Master of Laws LL.M respectively. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2000. She developed interest in conflict resolution as far back as her secondary school days when she served as a mediator between friends and classmates. She nurtured her interest in the practice of ADR by attending training at the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators and other ADR processes in and outside Nigeria. She is an ADR expert with a special interest in Mediation and Negotiation. Her drive for mastery and specialization has made her to further obtain a diploma certificate in Negotiation Mastery, Harvard Business School.

Rosecana mediates workplace, a range of family disputes, property, and breach of contract disputes. She also anchors conflict resolution talk shows on Liberty Radio organised by House of Justice, Kaduna. She co-developed a mediation training package for Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators.

She has published many articles on ADR and other legal matters in international and local academic journals. 

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Red Cross Society, Nigerian Institute of Chartered of Arbitrators, CEDR (UK) trained mediator, Conflict Dynamics (South Africa) accredited mediator, International Certified Negotiator (Australia), Institute of management Consultants, International Association of Applied Psychology and a Notary Public. She is a listed Arbitrator/Mediator of the Kaduna Multi- door Court House Kaduna state. She is the current Chairman Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, Kano/ Kaduna Branch.

Fola Alade Esq. (ASCMA, UK), (IADT, UK).

Fola Alade is a Notary Public and an Accredited Attorney- Mediator based in Lagos. He is the Founder/ Principal Partner at FOTEFA PARTNERS LP (MEDIATORS & MEDIATION ADVOCATES), a bespoke Mediation firm in Nigeria

Fola Alade is a Fellow, World Mediation Organization (WMO), Mediator of the Global Mediation Panel at the Office of the Ombudsman for United Nations Funds and Programmes, a Certified Mediation Advocate with the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates (U.K), a trained Mediator on the Panel of Neutrals of the Federal High Court(FHC), Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC), Edo State Multi- Door Court House (EMDC), Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA) and Lagos Chamber of Commerce and International Arbitration Centre (LACIAC), a trained Negotiator from the Lagos Business School (LBS), a Certified Emotional Intelligence Specialist and a Certified Trainer(International Award in Delivering Training[IADT] UK) with the London Professional Training Centre.

He is the Founder/Principal of Fotefa Mediation Academy, another bespoke Mediation Training Academy where he trains on the business and practice of Mediation. He is also the Executive Director of the Incorporated Trustees of Attorney-Mediators Association (ATMA), a Consultant/Facilitator/Trainer with the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates (SCMA Nigeria), Betaworka Cosmopolitan Partners Limited, Au Courant Legal Research Firm, Legally Engaged Academy and the Resource HQ Ltd where he trains on Negotiation, Mediation, Mediation Advocacy, Workplace Conflict and Emotional Intelligence.

He was a Judge at the 8th Edition of the 2TG-RMLNLU International Mediation Competition and the 17th Edition of the International Commercial Mediation Competition.

Fola was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007 after obtaining his LLB Hons Degree from the University of Lagos in 2006. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Section on Business Law (SBL), Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA) and a Partner member with the NCMG International (Negotiation and Conflict Management Group International).

Dr. Rita Bossan is an Associate Professor of the English Language with a special interest in the theories of Stylistics, Pragmatics and Critical Discourse Analysis and their application to different fields of discourse.

She is passionate about helping people extricate themselves from embarrassing problems of wrong English usage that arise from ignorance of the rules of grammar and stylistic etiquette; since errors reflect negatively on the speaker’s personality and performance.

Nanchang Janet (Journalist) ASCMA (UK)

Nanchang Janet obtained her National Diploma Certificate in Mass Communication from Kaduna Polytechnic in 2015.

She also obtained a Degree Certificate in Mass Communication from the prestigious University of Jos in 2019 as the second-best graduating student from her department.

She is passionate about education which led her to undertake a Professional Diploma in Education course in order to become a certified professional teacher. Nanchang Janet also holds a Diploma in Computer Application and she specializes in MS Word. 

She served as a Litigation Secretary to F.I. Salami & Co. for about a  period of five (5) years and has been the Litigation Secretary and Human Resource Personnel to N. Nanchang & Co. since 2017 where she gained the art and skills of drafting legal instruments; legal processes, sale agreement, deed of assignment and letters.

In utilizing her Mass Communication skills, she worked as a Direct Sales Agent for Fidelity Bank Plc.

She loves investigative journalism which led her to carry out her media/ industrial attachment with the Ministry of Information and Home Affairs, Kaduna State and with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Kaduna State where she served in the News Room. 

She is also passionate about spreading the gospel of ADR as well as representing clients in Mediation proceedings, consequent upon which she undertook the Mediation Advocates/Advisors training with the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocate and she is duly inducted/certified as an accredited Associate Mediation Advisor, United Kingdom (ASCMA, UK).

Abosede (Deborah) Akinsulire is a Civil Engineering student at Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State. She is highly organized, resourceful, self-motivated, detail-oriented and an avid researcher. She has always been energetic and enthusiastic since childhood and believes in hard work. 

She learned to use some software applications, especially Microsoft apps which enhanced her organizational skill. She executed various volunteer tasks at work which included event planning, internet research, data entry, typing notes, minutes writing and editing, creating and managing schedules and many others that are similar to these. She has gotten countless positive feedbacks from people for all these jobs well done.

She recently graduated as a Virtual Assistant at ALX and got invited to be a Fellow in The ROOM where she learned to effectively use the integrated Google Workspace tools which have helped her be a lot more organized while getting different tasks done. She is also volunteering at Settlement House ADR Training Institute.

He is currently undergoing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. (Industrial mathematics option) at Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State. He is a hardworking, energetic and idea-oriented person with unique communication and management skills. He is resourceful, loves challenges and maintains an environment of progressive success. Teaching and imparting knowledge are his matchless qualities.
